The two biggest cons of these features are it may increase your blog loading time and hurt it's SEO. Of course, you may want to ignore but if you want your blog look more professional and beautiful(distraction free), you have to remove or hide quick edit, pencil and screwdriver icons from your blog posts.
The pencil icon means edit and make some changes to your blog post quickly. The spanner and screwdriver can be used to edit your gadgets or widgets in the sidebar. That means they are basically shortcuts to increase blogger productivity. As I said before they will be helpful to the Blogger but not the reader.
Let's see how to actually remove them .
How to remove Quick Edit Icon
step 1 Sign in to your Blogger account.
step 2. Click Layout.
step 3. Find Blog Posts widget and click on Edit. A new window will pop up.
step 4. Untick the 'Show Quick Editing' option. Hint: It will have the pencil icon.
step 5. Scroll down and click on Save button.
That's all. You've successfully removed the quick edit icon.
